Hanon Systems Relocates Manufacturing Site in Turkey
CEO hosts event to inaugurate new site in
Dilovasi
SEOUL, Korea, April 21, 2022 – Hanon Systems (KS:018880), a leading global provider
of automotive thermal and energy management solutions, today held an
inauguration event celebrating the relocation of its Turkey operations from
Gebze to Dilovasi.
Business growth and location played a strategic role in the decision to
relocate the Turkey operation. The new site offers 46,000 square meters
(approximately 495,000 square feet) of land with a building area of 32,000
square meters (approximately 345,000 square feet) that increases production
capacity for various thermal management solutions.
The new operation in Dilovasi strengthens the company's manufacturing
capability and footprint in Europe with its state-of-the-art and
energy-efficient HVAC conveyor lines, injection molding machines, brazing
furnaces, fin mills and core builders, bending machines, assembly lines and
testing equipment.
In his opening comments at the inauguration event, President and Chief
Executive Officer Min Sung said, “This relocation to a larger site is a testament
to the company’s growing business with automakers in the region. It also allows
us to deliver innovative eco-friendly automotive solutions from a strategic
location that is close to our customers.”
The Dilovasi operation currently employs
more than 600 people and offers room for expansion to address future business
needs.
The company’s presence in Turkey began in
2005 under Halla Climate Control in Gebze. In 2013, the plant became part of
Halla Visteon Climate Control and today operates under the legal name Hanon
Automotive Climate Sys. Manufacturing Industrial
and Commercial Co.
